Well, I realized I was in a hospital bed - and Brooke was standing at the end.. I thought 'I must be sick!!!!' As it turned out, I was sick, I spent four months in hospital. At this stage I had spent at least three in there. I was in ICU for nine weeks, then the ward, then in a Rehab hospital for about a month ? I think, It turns out I had two brain bleeds and Doctors, nurses and family/friends are amazed that I am alive. Go figure... Apparently I couldn't breathe or move or anything for awhile in ICU. They are all very happy people. Ian and I went for an appointment there the other day with the doctors (soo happy, I was obviously more sick than I realized) and so we also went to ICU and the ward.
At the moment I walk on a frame, and I am not overy well, but I am not dead.. The doctors both say I will get well, which will be nice.
Ian has been amazing and I would have been absolutely lost only for him. I am an outpatient now and I have people come to the house to help me get even better. So, it is all OK. Ian is a Godsend.
So, today is Jan.14th, and I am grateful not to be dead, but there is still a fair bit of room for improvement. So, we'll see how it all goes..

A great time was had in England. It is lovely to be back at our Froghollow and the sunshine though.. Although, I did really love the falling snow!!

This beautiful Kooka was on our back fence the other day. Isn't he just gorgeous? I had my 'phone with me, so it isn't the best shot and could only get so close to him, he isn't used to me like the other birds around. What a treat to have him visit us at Froghollow though. Life is good .

We are beginning to ge a lot of feathery visitors on our back verandah now. We have a lovely little birdbath there too now and they love to splash around in it -- even though it's raining and there are puddles all over the place.. Lovely little things and they are not scared of me at all. We did have to put the feeder up quite high though, because Priscilla Maria Veronica Brown and White takes much delight in chasing any feathery people who come into the back yard. They don't worry about her at all up there, though. They are lovely to watch while having a morning cuppa.

Day in the city.

Well, left Froghollow for the day. Took the 4yo grandson into the city. What a day! Started at 6.30am and got home about 6.30pm! We had a ball. We met my sister and her grand-daughter (3 yo) and the two cousins had the best time together. Went on the ferry (twice because they just loved it) then spend the rest of the time at the Darling Harbour aquarium. The kids loved it there, but so did I. It really is the most restful and beautiful place. We met up with my husband for lunch and the aquarium Billy, the grandson, loved me to pieces, all morning until he saw his Pop, then I may as well have gone home!! LOL!! He loves his Pop.
Anyway, we had the best of days. Perfect. Next outing is to Luna Park!!

OHHH. Now, I forgot that I tried this before... Now, I think I may have two blogs going?? OR, Is it an old attempt added to this blog? HA!! I'll work it out.
This should be (if I've done it right) a photo of my Priscilla Maria Veronica Brown & White, named after Cilla Black, who was originally Priscilla Maria Veronica White.
Now, we'll see whether it works.

Learning to blog.

Today I'm learning to blog. This blog is about FROGHOLLOW, the place we live. It's a place where we love God's creatures. A place where we respect and hope that all native animals (and our animals as well) can live happily and safely. Now, at this point, I have to be honest and admit that I am PETRIFIED of snakes, and really hope that they stay in the bush!! We did have a huge snake in our stables. He used to come there every Summer. But, once they cleared the back bush a bit he dissappeared, I assume that he has gone further into the bush.
In froghollow I live with my husband, Makie, and my little dog, Priscilla Maria Veronica Brown & White.
We also have a fish pond, with beautiful gold fish, all of whom had names, but they have all changed in appearance, and it's difficult now for me to keep track of who is who in there. We also have frogponds, and it's lovely to listen to their happy chatter on a Summer night.
The property is froghollow. The reasoning behind this, apart from me being a frog lover, (and nature lover) is that years and years ago, this area along here was known by the locals as 'froghollow'. I am assuming that is because it is low, and from the road looks quite 'damp and cool' down here. HOWEVER, of course, it isn't and it's lovely and sunny here.
Of course, our two kids grew up here, and we had our horses, pets and lots of good times and laughter in this little nook. The kids now have long moved out and we have three beautiful grandsons as well.
In this house there is usually music playing, more than likely it would be Cilla Black or Johnny O'Keefe. They are my fav. all time singers.
That's my first blog. I am suspecting that that is the easy bit, now to the layout and settings, and I have not idea what a Monetize is! LMAO THIS WILL BE FUN!!
